I hope your charge gets Chanukah presents to chase away the Christmas blues. My friend's son, who's six, is having a really hard time this year with Christmas...I'm always sorry when kids feel excluded.

We used to fantasize about making comments like that. Alas, I never actually did. It actually gets worse after you finally get married though. Then they start asking about kids. And back to the previous thread of discussion, AJ's fascination with royalty seems to have been derived from his discovery of our chess set and my attempt to explain it to him. He hasn't quite picked up on the mannerisms yet. However we are spending Christmas Eve at the home of some cousins whose son owns a throne, robe and crown and seems to believe he received them by divine right. Perhaps we'll find AJ throwing down a gauntlet. Jousting at dawn! (Note to self: NO swords for Christmas).
