I didn't realize you worked there. I spend half my life there these days, as it houses one of the big archives I'm working with. I have to play the "do you know.." game with you. I'm sending you e-mail.

mea culpa. Although that story about the doghouse alone would have kept me awake. Creepy.

What rs536 said. And a stupid question from me. Is there a non-labor-intensive way to make your favorites list appear nice and neat and alphabetical or do you have to do it manually?

I'm not sure what's scarier, the festival itself or the fact that the NY Times this morning endorsed it as a reason to go to Austin for a weekend. Personally, however, I was pleased to learn from the site that there is an International Federation of Competitive Eating.

So awful to hear about your friend. In that instance, I wouldn't like to think he died all alone, isolated. You know how they say your life flashes before your eyes directly prior to passing away, or getting darn near close? Think of all of the wonderful things he was able to savor at the very end. All of the great things he did and all that he contributed and the people whose lives he improved just by being there. I think an awful way to die would be to realize...you lived how many years? and thought primarily of yourself, and now you've made no difference in the world. I hope, whomever this fella may have been, that there will be people remembering him fondly for years to come. I am sorry that this has happened, if I were religious I would pray for you. But I'm not, so I'll just think good thoughts.

I thought it was probably you who wrote about Pocky, but I couldn't locate the entry. In any case, thanks, as I'd never tried it before. Yum. I'll be looking for pumpkin next time for sure. Also, I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. Somehow I missed that entry.
