Thanks for the childcare recommendations. It's hard to know what to do about Vicodin. The one time I took it after some surgery a while back, I didn't feel like it affected my abilities at all, other than taking away rather debilitating pain. But I took a very small dose and I wasn't on it for very long. I also have known a couple of Vicodin addicts and they could get pretty scary. Her other behavior doesn't sound too confidence-building.

That Vicodin thing is scary. That's a tough situation. If you did tell the parents, most likely they will have you start immediately, unless in an even stranger turn of events they are aware of the Vicodin use, in which case you should take the child and raise him as your own!
