Fleas - ugh - I had to deal with an infestation once long ago - the only way we cleared it out was moving out and bombing. It was a nightmare. I wish the phrases my nephew repeated from me were as nice as "move it" - I quickly learned that I had said "badass" around him too many times (completely on accident). When I called once to take him out, his response was "BADASS!", in range of where his very Christian father could hear... Ahh...

Wow. Those cake-toppers are just . . . wow. I never really thought about what a silly idea cake toppers are anyway.

I am not sure the rain will ever stop here! Unless I bring my umbrella with me. My umbrella is the reason for drought, whilst I have it with me no rain. as soon as it is left at home the heavens open up.

Weddings bring out the worst in other people. It's amazing what people think they're entitled to and what they should have a say on. Grrrr. I wish you all the very best in dealing with everything - sounds like you're not giving way on anything though - good on you!

I must admit, I don't envy you one bit. That dress shopping experience sounds tedious and, well, as you put it "hoo hah-y". Nice one of the part of your neice though. Well done. Hang in there - and good luck with the rest.

I hear you - I'm tired as hell when I wake up early for work, but when I wake up early on weekends - it's fantastic. Ever think that maybe you and S should've just ran away, got married, come back and had a party? (Actually, if I ever get married, I think that's my preferred method to avoid all the intrusive advice... hopefully, I'm not being intrusive, heh.)

OMG, OMG, OMG! I'm so out of touch. I'm finally coming out of my diary-shell. Please accept my extremely belated CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement to S! That is fabulous news! Oh wow, nearly a year of fun wedding planning, and all the inevitable frustrations and family hassles that come with it! Remember (and you'll hear this a thousand time...) it's YOUR day, do what YOU want. The day itself goes so quickly, so make the most of enjoying the planning and preparation as it's all part of the whole wedding experience!! Wonderful news, sorry again it's taken me so long to catch up! love Kate
