Oh geez. Good luck with that. I couldn't get out of mine. Even after taking a big suck. I HATED the idea, still do. But it ended up not being SO terrible and oh my it's worth getting the goooooood gifts!!

I couldn't agree with you more. People should respect the wishes of the couple getting married & they should be releived that you have opted not to do a bridal shower, etc. (It's less work for them!) I know by the time I get married -- when me and the boyfriend can afford it -- I will have all of things that I want/need already... I like my towels, my shower curtain, my dishes, my underwear... Best of luck with all of the wedding planning. I know you said you wanted to keep it small and simple, which might actually be harder to plan with friends and family than a huge overpriced ceremony/reception.

Dear lord, I suspect that that is the only wedding that gallardo photography has shot... but with the 'Budget Wedding Package' priced to sell at only $300 how can you not hire Gallardo! In Chicago that would get you a photography consultation, maybe. Good luck with all the planning!
